Have you ever wanted to be a part of an anime universe? Have you ever wanted to control Kirito or Asuna as they battle for their survival?
SoulWorker, a South Korean action anime MMORPG will be published by Gameforge in North America and Europe. It is developed Lions Studios based in Seoul.
There will be high energy battles where you can execute your skills using either keyboard and mouse or controller. You will take on the role of a young chosen one who will fight against baddies in a post-apocalyptic world.
There will be four classes available at launch:
Soulum Sword: Basic B sword class.
Mist Scythe: Scythe wielding class that can summon a spirit. Reminds me of Spirit dancer from Dragon Nest .
Gun Jazz: Gun wielding class.
Howling Guitar: Plays a magical guitar that summons spirits to attack. Reminds me of Dark Summoner from Dragon Nest.
What to expect:
- Combat style is pretty straight forward. Tap skills in your hotbar to execute attacks and watch things die. A unique emotion system with moods such as vengeance, madness, euphoria or sadness define the characters’ abilities. Concentrating on these feelings activates abilities that are rich in effects for defense or attack using class-specific weapons.
- There will be over 100 PVE dungeons with episodic final bosses that range in difficulty.
- There will also be a PVP zone for mass battles on an open battlefield. Monsters will be scattered across the battlefield to make things even more exciting.
- Crafting, guilds, housing is implemented where players can craft using blueprints, make friends through guilds and furnish your own home.
“I am pleased to finally accommodate the desires of players in North America and Europe with SoulWorker. There’s plenty in SoulWorker to excite Anime fans in particular – we can’t wait to get going with this highly anticipated game”, said Daniel Werner, Product Director for SoulWorker at Gameforge.
