Atomas is a free mobile puzzle game with in-app purchases developed by Sirnic and is available on iOS and Android; more information can be found here.
The first great thing about this is that there are no ads! Beautiful. Definitely much more willing to support a developer on free mobile games when they don’t pump out ads like it’s Christmas. If you’re familiar with the game 2048, it’s kind of like that but I feel like Atomas is a lot more controlled and less random. The tutorial is very short and simple so you can get right into the game.
A lot of the complaints was that up to a certain point, the elements don’t match up properly with the periodic table. Although if you were looking for a scientific puzzle game, this isn’t it. Mostly just color coordination and nothing involving science at all. Another thing is that antimatter, which clears half the board, must be purchased and isn’t given as a daily or anything like that but heck, small price to pay for a free game with no ads. Besides, unless you’re shooting for a really high score then you’re likely to never even use it. It’s $1.09 for 2 antimatter or $2.19 for 5.
If you’re a fan of puzzle games, this is one you definitely need to pick up. Visually appealing, easy to learn, and really the only downside is that there’s no music to go along with it but maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
